Nature/Nurture Totem for the Captains of Industry is a vibrant, abstract, wall-mounted sculpture made from painted branches in electric blue, fuchsia, green, and deep violet, arranged in a dynamic, organic form. Balancing the verticality of the composition, a small, nest-like structure of colorful twigs holds a pile of painted nails; a striking contrast that highlights the tension between the natural world and the constructed environment. The nest also reminds us that everything arises from nature and ultimately returns. Therein lies our responsibility to the earth and to our future generations.
